Who is responsible
Reece Dalgas, a sole trader based in Southampton and trading as Rebuildery, is the controller of the personal information described here. Contact: hello@rebuildery.co.uk.
What we collect
- Business contact details published on your website or public directories, such as a business name, a generic email address (like info@) and a phone number.
- Public company information from Companies House, such as company status.
- Messages you send us by email or through the contact form, and anything you choose to include.
- Customer records if you buy from us: the contact name, billing details, receipts and Direct Debit records. Your bank details are held by GoCardless, not by us.
We do not collect sensitive information, and we never ask for passwords or card numbers by email.
Why we use it
- To build a preview of your rebuilt website and contact your business about it. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: offering a relevant service to businesses whose websites we can improve. We only email limited companies and LLPs at generic business addresses, and every email lets you opt out.
- To answer your enquiries and provide the website and hosting you buy. Our lawful basis is contract.
- To keep accounts and records. Our lawful basis is legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We use a small number of service providers who process it for us: Google Workspace (email and documents), Cloudflare (hosting websites), GitHub (hosting previews), FormSubmit (delivering contact form messages to our inbox) and GoCardless (collecting Direct Debit payments). Some of these providers may store data outside the UK, under safeguards approved by UK law.
How long we keep it
- If you are not interested or ask us to stop, we delete your preview and keep only your business name and domain on a do-not-contact list, so we never contact you again.
- Records of prospects who never reply are deleted after 12 months.
- Customer and payment records are kept for six years after our agreement ends, as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email hello@rebuildery.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
